A Max-Level Film Queen Takes on the Scumbag Alpha Script [Transmigration] - Chapter 47
After finally managing to tuck the dead-drunk Yan Shu into the car, Jiang Baihe let out a secret sigh of relief. She looked at Jin Wen, who had been helping for quite some time, told her to head home first, and then climbed into the car herself.
Fearing that Yan Shu might go flying inside the car due to turns on the road, Jiang Baihe reached out and pulled Yan Shu close, gently resting the other woman’s head on her own shoulder. She turned herself into a dedicated human pillow.
Taking advantage of the fact that Yan Shu was asleep, Jiang Baihe began to unashamedly gaze at Yan Shu’s profile. The faint crimson flush on her face had already begun to fade. She mused to herself that seeing Yan Shu this drunk was truly a rare sight. Occasionally, she would reach out a finger to brush away a stray hair that had fallen across Yan Shu’s face, causing her to itch.
The bodyguard had turned down the car’s audio; a soothing piece of light music was playing softly from the speakers. The ethereal female vocals drifted through the enclosed space. Combined with the steady breathing in her ear, Jiang Baihe found herself feeling a bit drowsy. Thus, she maintained her hold on Yan Shu, leaned back against the seat, and closed her eyes to rest.
To look after the drunken Yan Shu and prevent her from getting carsick, Jiang Baihe had specifically instructed the bodyguard to drive slower. Consequently, a thirty-minute trip was stretched into an hour before they finally arrived home smoothly.
Upon reaching the villa, Jiang Baihe first went to open the front door, then returned to the car to retrieve her passenger. Seeing Yan Shu sleeping soundly in the back seat, Jiang Baihe hesitated for a few seconds before giving her arm a light pat.
“Yan Yan? Wake up?” she whispered. She thought that if Yan Shu didn’t react, she would carry her upstairs on her back just like she did at the club; Yan Shu wasn’t that heavy, after all.
Perhaps because she had drunk the hangover soup, Yan Shu woke up. Though she was still a bit dazed, she wasn’t as completely gone as she had been at the club. Jiang Baihe wanted to carry her, but Yan Shu stubbornly insisted on walking by herself.
However, she was clearly unaware of her current state. For such a short distance, she swayed with every step; on a perfectly straight path, she looked like she might veer off into nowhere. Watching this, Jiang Baihe was caught between laughter and worry. Fearing Yan Shu might fall, she quickly ran to her side, half-supporting and half-holding her as they moved forward.
They spent quite a while fumbling around outside before finally making it into the house. By this point, Yan Shu had her arms wrapped around Jiang Baihe’s neck, leaning against her back like a Siamese twin, refusing to let go. To Jiang Baihe, it felt like she had a giant, fluffy stuffed animal attached to her back—except this “stuffed animal” was disobedient and constantly trying to wriggle away to go somewhere else.
Two more “clingy spirits” entangled her feet. Bai Bai and An An, who were wide awake and doing “parkour” in the cat room, immediately ran over upon hearing the commotion, acting cute and rolling around on the floor. After finally shooing away the kittens, she dragged the “drunken cat” Yan Shu up to the second floor.
She wanted to put her straight to bed so she could sleep it off, but Yan Shu suddenly started throwing a little tantrum.
“I want to shower.”
The soft, muffled voice came from behind her. To express her intense desire for a bath, Yan Shu even buried her face in Jiang Baihe’s shoulder and nudged her. Feeling the movement against her neck, Jiang Baihe felt a jolt like an electric shock and shivered instantly. She instinctively turned around, reaching out to hold the person in front of her steady.
Jiang Baihe looked at the innocent-looking Yan Shu and grit her teeth, wondering if this little drunkard was messing with her on purpose. However, faced with the pleading, “accusing” look in Yan Shu’s eyes, Jiang Baihe couldn’t hold out. “Alright, alright,” she whispered in surrender. “A shower, we’ll take a shower.”
Having successfully pacified her and guided her to a chair, Jiang Baihe went to find pajamas with the resignation of a weary laborer. Meanwhile, she wondered if she should give herself a shot of suppressant first. Otherwise, she was afraid that once they were in the bathroom, she might lose control and do something to Yan Shu.
The imagination was beautiful, but reality was harsh. Jiang Baihe had prepared herself to be “nakedly honest” with Yan Shu, only to be shut out at the bathroom door.
Jiang Baihe: “…”
Jiang Baihe: “Can you manage alone? Are you dizzy? Can you stand up? How about you let me in, or we wait until tomorrow to wash?”
Yan Shu didn’t answer. The only reply Jiang Baihe received was the sound of the shower turning on and water splashing down. Jiang Baihe sighed, grabbed a small stool from the bedroom, and sat down at a distance where she could hear everything clearly—just in case Yan Shu slipped or fell.
She took out her phone to scroll through Star-Blog, but she clearly overestimated her self-control. Her mind was filled with the sound of the water and the fact that Yan Shu was right there. Knowing the Omega was bathing just a few feet away, Jiang Baihe felt her pheromones flare up like a lit match, urging her to go in and “devour” the person.
Calm down, be a decent person.
Jiang Baihe looked up at the ceiling, then stood up to get herself a glass of water—ice water. After a large gulp, her head cleared slightly. She moved the chair further away and started searching for the “Cleansing Heart Mantra” on her phone.
By the time she reached the unknown-th repetition of the mantra, the noise inside finally stopped. Jiang Baihe let out an involuntary sigh of relief, thinking the ordeal was finally over. However, just as she thought that, a series of clangs and thuds came from the bathroom.
Jiang Baihe’s heart skipped a beat. Without a second thought, she twisted the lock and burst in.
The winter night was cold, but the shower water was hot, creating a thick, white mist in the bathroom. Jiang Baihe looked around anxiously. Shower gel, shampoo, and other toiletries were scattered everywhere. The culprit, Yan Shu, was squatting on the floor not far away, seemingly oblivious to the chaos.
Fortunately, she was already dressed in her pajamas, showing only her slender, fair ankles. She squatted there, looking up blankly at the intruder. Under the warm yellow lights of the bathroom, her eyes were misty and wet, like a kitten that had done something wrong and been caught red-handed.
Jiang Baihe felt her heart being gripped tightly. To use a cliché CEO line: she really wanted to “handle” this person right then and there. She took a deep breath to stabilize herself and walked over to check on her.
“Did you fall?”
Yan Shu paused for a few seconds, as if processing the words, then shook her head. Once certain she wasn’t hurt, Jiang Baihe helped her up and led her out of the bathroom by the hand. She took Yan Shu to the bedside, sat her down, and went back for the hairdryer. Seeing the mess in the bathroom, Jiang Baihe clicked her tongue; she’d come back to clean up after drying Yan Shu’s hair.
When she came out with the hairdryer, she saw Yan Shu already lying in bed, looking ready to go to sleep. It was quite a funny sight. She dug her out of the covers, pulled her into her lap, and slowly began drying her hair. The warm air from the dryer blew through the locks, accompanied by Jiang Baihe’s fingers massaging her scalp.
The comfortable sensation made the already sleepy Yan Shu close her eyes, fully enjoying the moment. By the time the long hair was dry, Jiang Baihe realized the person in her arms had fallen asleep. Carefully, she moved Yan Shu to the center of the bed and tucked her in. Then, she went to the bathroom to clean up the mess.
When she came out again, she saw that the neatly tucked-in quilt had been kicked aside. Although the heating was on, it wasn’t warm enough to sleep without a cover. Jiang Baihe shook her head, but there was no reasoning with a drunk person. She tucked her in again, though this time she didn’t wrap her as tightly, leaving some breathing room.
Jiang Baihe went back to her own room. After being busy at the Jiang house all afternoon and then dealing with the aftermath here, she smelled strongly of alcohol. She cleaned herself up, but before sleeping, she couldn’t stop worrying, so she went back to Yan Shu’s room.
She turned on a small lamp and looked at the bed. Jiang Baihe: “…”
Where is the quilt?! Where did that huge quilt I just tucked in go?!
Jiang Baihe froze, then crept around to the other side of the bed. Finally, she saw the poor quilt kicked into a heap on the floor. Fortunately, the floor was covered with a wool rug and was cleaned regularly, so it wasn’t dirty.
She picked it up, intending to cover Yan Shu again, but then her hand paused. She looked at Yan Shu sleeping peacefully and pondered. If she covered her again, Yan Shu would probably just kick it off again; it was a futile effort.
After some thought, Jiang Baihe slowly took off her slippers and quietly climbed onto Yan Shu’s bed. Fortunately, Yan Shu was sleeping toward the right side, leaving enough room for her to lie down.
Jiang Baihe pulled the quilt over both of them, muttering to herself: “There’s a reason for this. Yan Shu shouldn’t be mad at me when she wakes up…” Then she continued to brainwash herself: “I am a decent person. I never take advantage of people…”
Looking at the sweetly sleeping Yan Shu, her self-justification wavered. She couldn’t help but lean toward Yan Shu and whisper: “But I took care of you all night, I deserve some payment, right…?”
After staring for a few seconds, Jiang Baihe secretly, gently, and almost sacrificially lowered her head and left a light kiss on Yan Shu’s lips. Feeling the soft touch, she only dared to linger for a second before guiltily pulling back. Seeing that Yan Shu was still in a deep sleep, Jiang Baihe’s nervous heart relaxed.
She smiled softly, lay down beside Yan Shu, and fell asleep with her.
The night sky was brilliant with stars. Starlight shone through the window, casting a silver glow on the floor. Two steady rhythms of breathing filled the room.
The supposedly sleeping Yan Shu slowly opened her eyes. There was not a single trace of drunkenness in them. Looking at the person lying beside her, Yan Shu lazily turned over, moved slightly to nestle into Jiang Baihe’s arms, and was instinctively hugged by the sleeping Alpha.
Closing her bright eyes, Yan Shu’s lips curved into a satisfied smile. Finally, accompanied by the starlight outside, she fell into a deep sleep.
Ashkar
Yan Shu is a fucking retard for even considering this STUPID “test”.
