Amnesia Trap (GL) - Chapter 45
——“Look at me. Answer me.”
Forced by her actions, Ji Qingfan had no choice but to meet her gaze once more.
“Jiao Jiao…”
The first two words that left her lips were immediately swallowed up by what happened next.
Ji Qingfan looked so pitiable, suppressed by Sheng Zhi’s dominant attitude; her lips were soft, and her helpless, forced-to-endure expression made her look incredibly easy to bully.
The flush on her full, rosy lips deepened. Because her choker was being tugged, she could only tilt her head up slightly, responding submissively.
Besides not wanting to reveal any major flaws in her act, what other reason could she have for doing this?
Sheng Zhi bit and worried at her lips.
At the same time, she couldn’t help but feel her own face and ears heating up because of Ji Qingfan’s reaction.
Really, why did Ji Qingfan always get like this the moment she was kissed?
Does she have any idea how… she looks?
Does Ji Qingfan act this way when she’s kissed by other people too?
Sheng Zhi imagined the scene, and a subtle sense of discomfort prickled at her.
Even though she knew clearly that it was none of her business—after all, they weren’t in the kind of relationship where they could control each other’s private affairs.
But from the very first time, Ji Qingfan had been so skilled, so good at kissing.
No matter how uncomfortable she felt, she could only suppress it.
This wasn’t something she could ask out loud.
Setting aside whether asking would make Ji Qingfan overthink, the main issue was that if she did ask, Ji Qingfan would probably just provide a fabricated lie—like saying she only kissed her, or that she had been kissing her for years.
Their moist breaths intertwined.
Yet the more she kissed, the more she thought, and the angrier she became.
—If she had known this would happen, she would have dated someone while she was abroad.
Maybe Ji Qingfan’s lips were already tired of kissing people back home, yet her own first meaningful kiss was with Ji Qingfan.
…At least Ji Qingfan didn’t know that.
With her temper rising, she kissed even more fiercely, tugging the choker so that the other woman couldn’t hide or escape, only endure.
Ji Qingfan’s breathing was chaotic and hurried.
Sheng Zhi held on too tightly, every move a relentless pursuit; she couldn’t catch her breath.
Tingling, softening.
Wave after wave of sensation brought about a soft trembling.
Tears welled up uncontrollably in the corners of her eyes as she couldn’t help but respond more, as if addicted.
She really, truly loved it when Sheng Zhi acted like this.
The title she was using as bait spilled from her lips along with the moisture and ambiguity they couldn’t swallow in time.
“Master…”
Her tone was so pitiable, like a plea from someone who couldn’t endure any more.
Sheng Zhi heard it, but acted as if she hadn’t. She didn’t stop for a second; in fact, she became even more excessive, her eyes flashing with a sharp, vibrant beauty born from her surging excitement.
It wasn’t until Ji Qingfan was gasping for air, her face flushed and her eyes wet, calling out to her again, that she finally stopped.
She even said deliberately: “What was that? I don’t think I heard you clearly.”
Her voice was sweet and charming, but the meaning behind her words was incredibly wicked—clearly demanding she call her that again.
And the person who had been bullied for so long could only suppress her emotions behind her lashes and helplessly obey.
Sheng Zhi admired the way she looked.
Because of the contact that had just occurred, she didn’t just want Ji Qingfan to keep acting for her anymore; she wanted to be able to bully her like this forever.
If the truth were revealed and the game ended, she might get to see Ji Qingfan look pathetic, but that would only last for a moment. Once that happened, Ji Qingfan would surely become even colder to her—she could already imagine Ji Qingfan refusing to say a single word.
The more she could imagine it, the more interesting the current Ji Qingfan seemed by comparison—this Ji Qingfan who would smile at her, act spoiled, dote on her, indulge her every whim, and could be bullied until her eyes were red and her whole body trembled.
Who would have thought the high-and-mighty, ice-cold Ji Qingfan would be so overwhelmed that she’d use that title to beg her…
It was too hard to resist.
Even if Ji Qingfan was unwilling in her heart, so what? The more unwilling she was, the more fun it was to bully her, wasn’t it?
The sight of her being helpless and forced to endure her every action made Sheng Zhi want to go too far.
Sheng Zhi loosened her grip slightly, but didn’t let go completely, her fingers stroking the other woman’s neck lingeringly. She propped her chin on her other hand lazily and slowed her speech. “I think I’m starting to believe your story a bit now. After all… in some ways, we really are very compatible.”
Sheng Zhi wanted to laugh after saying that.
Her words were far too suggestive.
Ji Qingfan would definitely understand what kind of “compatibility” she was referring to.
How could they possibly be truly compatible?
Being humiliated like this, Ji Qingfan probably hated her enough to want her dead.
But the reality was that no matter how much Ji Qingfan disliked her, she had to keep acting—and not just act, but act as if she were deeply in love.
Since things had developed this way, she would just consider Ji Qingfan to be suffering the consequences of her own actions.
As the words hung in the air, the corners of Ji Qingfan’s eyes were moist and red. It took a long while before she spoke: “Jiao Jiao and I are naturally compatible. We were so in sync once…”
Hearing Ji Qingfan follow her lead as expected, Sheng Zhi truly burst out laughing.
She was naturally radiant, and when she smiled now, her red lips, white teeth, and dimples were like a flower. Her stunning face was given a bold, vivid stroke of brilliance, perfectly defining what it meant to be captivating—yet she was completely oblivious to it.
Unknowingly alluring.
Provocative and proud.
Ji Qingfan couldn’t look away.
“So, your skilled kissing technique was also practiced with me, right?”
Even though she knew clearly she shouldn’t ask, hearing Ji Qingfan say they used to be very “in sync” made Sheng Zhi unable to resist.
She was feeling self-conscious herself; actually, this question didn’t sound that abrupt.
It just sounded like an amnesiac searching through forgotten memories.
Ji Qingfan continued to look at her with those watery eyes, as if surprised she would ask such a question, or perhaps her words triggered some other memory. She paused for a moment before giving a soft hum in response, her face appropriately flushed. “After all, Jiao Jiao and I were already kissing in high school.”
Hearing Ji Qingfan say that, Sheng Zhi bit her lip, though she didn’t show it on her face. “I see.”
Kissing in high school?
Liar.
Another one of her tactics.
She was never that close with Ji Qingfan back then.
Sheng Zhi frowned slightly.
…It felt so uncomfortable.
Hearing Ji Qingfan say that, she almost wanted to grab her and kiss her again.
To bite her lips and kiss her hard.
Really, why did she ask that just now?
She knew perfectly well that the answer she’d get would just be another lie.
Forget it. Whatever Ji Qingfan did with whoever she kissed and however many times it took for her to become this skilled had nothing to do with her. She didn’t care at all.
She didn’t care one bit.
Who would care about such a thing? Especially when the subject was Ji Qingfan. What was there to care about?
She really, truly didn’t care in the slightest.
Ji Qingfan could kiss whoever she wanted, as many times as she wanted.
It didn’t matter.
Anyone else might care, but she certainly wouldn’t.
Sheng Zhi looked away and let out a scoff that sounded almost like a whisper. “My head hurts a bit, I’ll stop trying to think about it for now… Anyway, you can tell me about the Rao Hai trip now.”
With her current expression, she really did look like someone whose attempts to remember were causing a painful, irritating headache.
The doctor had warned them about this kind of side effect at the beginning.
But while Sheng Zhi was faking the headache, Ji Qingfan seemed to feel her pain, standing up with concern.
“Does it hurt a lot? Jiao Jiao, you don’t need to rush to remember. It doesn’t matter if you never do. Why don’t you lie down for a while?”
Her tone was filled with warmth. Sheng Zhi didn’t need to look back to know exactly how those affectionate eyes would look.
Ji Qingfan had performed that persona for her so many times that she could imagine it perfectly without turning her head—
It would definitely be full of tender love.
It would definitely be the kind that was hardest to refuse.
Sheng Zhi was faking the headache, and besides, she had been lying down all afternoon and didn’t want to do it anymore. She refused: “No, I’ve been lying down all afternoon; it’s even more uncomfortable. Just tell me about the Rao Hai trip first.”
Ji Qingfan rubbed her ear. “Go lie down for a bit. I want to massage your head for you, and you can listen to me while you lie there.”
Sheng Zhi blinked and gave a soft hum.
Ji Qingfan’s attitude… Does she think things are progressing well? Does she feel like Sheng Zhi’s behavior has changed from the beginning, so she’s more motivated? Even though she was just humiliated? Even though she was tugged by her choker and made to call her by that title several times?
Sheng Zhi couldn’t help but raise her hand to cover the lower half of her face. If she didn’t hide it, she was worried her expression might give something away.
Ji Qingfan probably still thought she was the one in control, believing that her every move was as she expected. How could she ever imagine that Sheng Zhi had never had “amnesia” from the very start?
Good heavens…
This feeling of being the one actually controlling Ji Qingfan was far too intoxicating.
So, when her finger was hooked, Sheng Zhi didn’t refuse again. She followed Ji Qingfan obediently back into the rest area and prepared to lie down properly.
But the next second, Ji Qingfan pulled her toward herself. “That’s a bit inconvenient. Jiao Jiao, why don’t you lie on my lap?”
Her tone was soft, but her actions carried a directness that made it hard to react in time.
Sheng Zhi was passively pillowed on Ji Qingfan’s thigh. Just as she thought about getting up, Ji Qingfan placed her hand on her.
“Jiao Jiao, is it uncomfortable? You used to love doing this…”
Her tone again carried that dejection of remembering the past.
Uncomfortable?
How could it possibly be uncomfortable?
Beyond that, Ji Qingfan’s massage was incredibly soothing.
It was just that…
She was surrounded by a faint fragrance. Pillowed on the softness, Sheng Zhi didn’t even dare to press down hard. From her pressed cheek to her neck, her skin felt like it had turned to mush. She didn’t want to show it, so she acted very composed—
Except for her eyelashes, which she couldn’t stop from blinking like the wings of a small butterfly.
When would Ji Qingfan finish talking?
It shouldn’t take too long, right?
After all, she was just going over the schedule and plans; how long could that take?
But she waited for a long time, and Ji Qingfan was still talking. It seemed like there was a lot to say, though it might just be because Ji Qingfan was being extremely thorough, covering every detail.
It was so thorough that Sheng Zhi felt her face heating up.
She did love to play, but it wasn’t like she was incompetent or ignorant…
Was this really the image Ji Qingfan had of her?
When Ji Qingfan started saying, “You can’t just go off with strangers,” she finally couldn’t help but interrupt: “That’s enough. You don’t need to be so detailed. I know what to do; I’m not a three-year-old.”
Ji Qingfan’s movements paused slightly. “I know.”
Her voice was soft, the kind that felt like only the two of them could hear it—intimate and lingering.
“I just love this atmosphere too much. I wanted Jiao Jiao to stay with me like this a little longer.”
