Summary
Synopsis:
After a car accident, Lü Zhongcai discovers that she is a scumbag Alpha living inside a novel about a terrible Alpha. Her wife, Jin Sique, who is currently “deeply in love” with her, is the protagonist Omega of the book.
As the scumbag Alpha supporting character, Lü Zhongcai is riddled with bad habits. Despite having been secretly married for years, she constantly flirts with other women. She even treats the protagonist Omega as a substitute and uses her as a tool to further her business interests.
In the end, the protagonist Omega’s first love returns from abroad. The two reconcile and join forces to take revenge on Lü Zhongcai. As the scumbag Alpha supporting character, Lü Zhongcai suffers a miserable fate: her gland is gouged out, her company goes bankrupt, and she ends up homeless on the streets.
To change her fate, Lü Zhongcai decides to turn over a new leaf and desperately raise Jin Sique’s favorability toward her, hoping that they can eventually separate on good terms.
But then Jin Sique goes into heat, and Lü Zhongcai loses all reason beneath the Omega’s rich, intoxicating fragrance…
When she regains her senses, the protagonist Omega before her looks as though a violent storm has swept over her entire body. Jin Sique’s eyes are filled with a bone-chilling coldness, and the emotion in her gaze as she looks at Lü Zhongcai is impossible to conceal.
So this was the reason.
Could it be that every intimate encounter Lü Zhongcai had once believed to be mutually desired had never been what Jin Sique wanted at all?
Had the obedient Omega who always allowed Lü Zhongcai to do as she pleased merely been pretending?
Lü Zhongcai frowns in distress.
How is she supposed to compensate her?
—
Jin Sique possesses an elegant, orchid-like temperament and long, ink-black hair. As an Omega whose family has fallen from grace, she was only able to repay all her family’s debts with Lü Zhongcai’s help.
Their relationship was unequal from the beginning, with each supposedly taking what she needed. Day and night, Jin Sique waits for Lü Zhongcai’s interest in her to fade so that the Alpha can finally cast her aside.
But after the car accident, who could have expected Lü Zhongcai to completely abandon her former cold and distant behavior?
Lü Zhongcai awkwardly says, “Sique, are your classes over? I came to pick you up.”
“Sique, do you like this new designer bag?”
“Sique, this dress would suit you. Do you like it?”
“Sique, do you like the property deeds for these Country Garden houses? I weighed out several jin of them and had them delivered to you.”
“…”
Jin Sique has never believed that she is naturally entitled to these benefits.
Her fingers are slender and graceful as she touches the knotted buttons of her qipao, her expression languid and composed.
Lü Zhongcai catches the scent of pheromones, and surprise flashes across her face.
What does this mean?
—
The Lü family’s gold bricks are delivered to the opera house while Jin Sique is enduring the soreness in her waist and carefully painting a theatrical mask.
She stares blankly at the items that have been delivered.
Again tonight?
Has Lü Zhongcai gone insane?
Yet Jin Sique never expected that there would come a day when she would long for and savor that madness.
After their divorce, Lü Zhongcai believes that she has finally escaped a sea of suffering. But the moment she opens her door, she discovers that her ex-wife has come looking for her.
Jin Sique carefully studies Lü Zhongcai. Beneath her usually languid and carefree gaze lies a blade-like glint of coldness.
“What is it?” she asks. “Am I not welcome?”
Lü Zhongcai: “…”
