After the Scum Alpha Picked Up Her Rival Omega - Chapter 19
Ming Ruixue knew that Si Xia was physically uncomfortable; ever since the camera turned on, she had been in a state of high tension.
Likely because she had just been marked, Si Xia lacked a sense of security while appearing in the public eye.
Ming Ruixue snapped a photo with a Polaroid and then released Si Xia.
Once Si Xia steadied herself, she tilted her head to look at the finished photo. “No good. I’m in the front in this one, it makes my face look big.”
The photo was a casual shot taken to complete their “business” photo task. They hadn’t carefully looked for angles, but since both of them were attractive, any shot worked.
Ming Ruixue looked at the photo. “I think it’s great. Your face looks very small.”
Girls never want to stand in the front when taking photos, but Si Xia had no choice but to be dissatisfied—she certainly didn’t want to take another one in that posture.
The two signed their names on the back of the photo. Ming Ruixue held the photo and waved it in front of the lens. “Top-voted comment, remember to DM the program crew. We’ll mail the photo to you.”
This move could be described as incredibly fan-indulgent!
Even though it was a prank pushed by the entire internet, Ming Ruixue and Si Xia had cooperated to complete it.
Wave after wave of CP fans began falling into the “pit.”
Ming Ruixue’s plan to attract fans was essentially realized; what they needed now was more fans to increase their heat.
Today’s business was over.
Ming Ruixue covered the camera for Si Xia and said, “Get some good rest. Tomorrow’s task requires a lot of physical stamina.”
“I know. Tomorrow’s task is my forte.”
Si Xia lifted her face with full confidence and said, “The one who needs rest is you.”
The Omega’s features were beautiful and petite; whenever she hit upon a strength, her tail perked up with pride.
“Yes, yes, yes, you’re the most amazing, okay?” Ming Ruixue looked down to unbind the necktie for her, her deep, mellow voice dropping low. “Then you have to show me some mercy. I’m very fragile.”
Si Xia wasn’t buying it.
The necktie had left red marks on her wrists, eye-catching against the fair skin. Ming Ruixue felt apologetic. “Does it hurt?”
Si Xia flexed her aching wrists. “I’m very fragile too.”
The implication was clear: she wouldn’t be showing mercy tomorrow.
Tomorrow was the Taekwondo sparring segment for the guest pairs, intended to boost the interaction value between each CP.
In short, it was an ambiguous mini-game; there was no need for a real battle.
Si Xia had practiced Taekwondo for a while and had some skills; Ming Ruixue was truly afraid Si Xia would go for real in front of the lens.
It wouldn’t look good if a CP actually started fighting.
Ming Ruixue put away the necktie. The cabin door had already been opened by Si Xia to see her out.
Before leaving, Ming Ruixue whispered, “Have some mercy tomorrow, yeah?”
The Alpha’s eyes drooped slightly, making her look somewhat pitiful. Si Xia realized something. “Sister, you don’t know Taekwondo, do you?”
The original owner did, but Ming Ruixue had never learned it.
However, with the strength of an Alpha, Ming Ruixue didn’t believe she would actually lose.
Si Xia was basically certain after seeing Ming Ruixue’s reaction. She could finally reclaim the home field advantage in front of Ming Ruixue.
Si Xia whispered, “Sister, I’m really looking forward to the way you’ll beg for mercy beneath me tomorrow.”
Ming Ruixue feigned a weak appearance. “I’m so scared.”
Good, be scared.
Si Xia blinked. “Goodnight, Sister.”
Tsk.
The moment the door closed, Ming Ruixue raised an eyebrow.
It wasn’t settled yet exactly who would be begging for mercy tomorrow.
Before joining the show, each guest brought an assistant to stay in the staff cabins on the fourth floor.
Ming Ruixue sent a message to Peng Jia: [How is the catnip doing?]
Peng Jia replied quickly: [It’s growing very well, but…]
Ming Ruixue immediately grew tense: [But what? Just say it.]
Peng Jia: [It’s gotten tangled up with another pot of catnip. I’m looking for scissors to cut them apart.]
On the other side, Si Xia received the same message from Peng Qi. She immediately jumped out of bed, successfully dodged all the cameras, and slipped down to the fourth floor.
Peng Jia went to find a toolbox, leaving the catnip in the storage room temporarily.
At this moment, both pots of mint were thriving in the indoor storage room. Peng Qi was stunned when she saw this. “I don’t know how there ended up being two pots either!”
The vitality of catnip was truly vigorous; in just a short while, they had become even more tightly entwined.
Si Xia didn’t have time to speculate. She found a corner without cameras and used scissors to cut directly through the middle, then carried her pot of catnip back to her cabin.
This pot of catnip had been plucked from Ming Ruixue’s home. Although it was just a small piece, it grew well and emitted a faint minty fragrance.
Si Xia placed the catnip by her bedside and fell into a dream accompanied by the scent.
The next time she turned into a cat, having this single plant to suppress it would be enough.
Ming Ruixue returned with her “scarred” clone, feeling an incomparable heartache. She decided it was safer to take care of it herself.
The catnip was Ming Ruixue’s second life; she had already lost half, and nothing could happen to this half.
Otherwise, Ming Ruixue really would die.
Ming Ruixue placed the catnip by her bedside. Just as she was about to drift off, she suddenly felt someone “huffing” her.
From her neck to her waist, it was itchy and numbing.
Again.
Ming Ruixue took two deep breaths, her legs involuntarily curling up. Her body slowly lost control, and she didn’t have a shred of strength left.
Ming Ruixue stared wide-eyed with desperation until morning. She swore she had to find that other half of the catnip!
Otherwise, before the catnip died, she would be sucked dry by someone first.
Ming Ruixue walked out of her room with a face full of exhaustion, only to run into a refreshed Si Xia.
The difference in their states was massive.
It was only now that Ming Ruixue felt less uncomfortable, but her legs were still so weak she could hardly walk.
With her state today, was the Alpha really going to be the one begging for mercy?
Si Xia’s gaze followed Ming Ruixue’s wobbly legs. She narrowed her eyes and leaned in to tease, “So Sister likes ‘providing for herself by working hard’ (slang for self-pleasure)?”
“Huh?” Ming Ruixue, deprived of sleep, took several seconds for her chaotic brain to react. “Wait, WHAT?!”
