After the Scum Alpha Picked Up Her Rival Omega - Chapter 21
A scene of playing with fire.
And a conversation flavored with heavy innuendo.
Ming Ruixue managed to swallow a mouthful of juice before finally realizing that the entire juicing process had been a product of Si Xia’s wicked sense of humor.
The fans in the bullet comments understood perfectly; those looking for CP chemistry could extract plenty of “spicy industrial sugar” from the interaction.
Ming Ruixue set down her glass and washed her hands under the slowly flowing tap water. When the water was turned off, droplets fell one by one from her fair fingertips.
Ming Ruixue dried her slender fingers. “So, when are you going to check my learning progress, Teacher Si Xia?”
The veins on the back of the Alpha’s hand were distinct, and her knuckles looked powerful; her practical application would surely not be lacking.
A dining table separated the two.
Si Xia pretended not to understand. “Sister, you did very well just now. I’ve already checked it.”
“Is that so?” Ming Ruixue rounded the table to reach Si Xia’s side, asking relentlessly, “But Teacher Si Xia, how can you know if it’s good or not without experiencing it firsthand?”
As the Alpha drew near, the cool scent of catnip approached as well.
The milky pheromones were soft, naturally suppressed under the mint. It seemed that an Omega was instinctively no match for an Alpha.
Si Xia was clearly being dominated again.
While the two were at a deadlock, the other four guests—having slept their fill—emerged from their cabins one after another.
Xia Qing came out yawning. “Hmm? You guys are up so early.”
Fu Anzhi followed behind, pleading piteously, “Qingqing, we have to work harder too. Look how much effort they’re putting in.”
For the past few days, all the hype had been centered on Ming Ruixue and Si Xia. The other two pairs seemed nonexistent—they were either arguing or in a cold war. Director Ye had already given them a “red card” warning.
Xia Qing reluctantly accepted Fu Anzhi’s suggestion. “Fine. It’s just normal business hype, I can do that.”
Fu Anzhi excitedly poured a glass of juice for her. “Then it’s a deal. You’re not allowed to get angry during the intimacy games later.”
Xia Qing didn’t want to be fired ignominiously by the crew, so she drank the juice “cross-cupped” (intertwined arms) with Fu Anzhi. “I promise not to get angry in front of the camera.”
Fu Anzhi swallowed. “That works too.”
After finishing the juice, Xia Qing said to Ming Ruixue, “Thanks for the juice, it was delicious.”
As fellow Alphas, they were in a competitive relationship, but they were also friends. Ming Ruixue didn’t like standing in opposition to anyone. “I’m glad you liked it.”
By the time breakfast ended and the juice was no longer fresh, the “Arranged Marriage CP,” Ning Yu and Ban Yun, finally appeared.
Ning Yu was elaborately dressed; her makeup had taken two hours, as she insisted on remaining perfect at every moment. Ban Yun was only late because she had to wait for her.
Director Ye had pressured them several times from the control room to come out for “business” early. If they couldn’t produce sparks of love soon, the show would replace their pair.
Being replaced right at the start of filming would be a massive loss of face. As someone who valued her reputation highly, Ning Yu naturally wouldn’t agree to that.
Ning Yu said imperiously to Ban Yun, “You must show your full strength in the Taekwondo mini-game later. Don’t you dare hold back.”
Ban Yun hesitated. “I’m a black belt. I’m afraid if I use my full strength, I’ll hurt someone.”
Ning Yu widened her eyes. “Who told you to actually hit people? You’re such a blockhead!”
“Huh?” Ban Yun didn’t get it. “Isn’t Taekwondo about fists and feet? If we aren’t hitting people, what are we doing?”
The viewers listening to their conversation facepalmed. Ban Yun was truly a “straight woman”—she was a lost cause.
Fu Anzhi laughed secretly. Great. This pair posed no threat in the competition.
Ming Ruixue negotiated with Si Xia, “Teacher Si Xia, can you teach me Taekwondo properly? I learn very quickly.”
Si Xia was usually good at teaching, but after the “juice lesson” earlier, she had become wary of Ming Ruixue, fearing she would spout more nonsense.
Si Xia lowered her gaze and turned her face away. “Depends on my mood.”
Ming Ruixue hadn’t studied Taekwondo. Later, there would be a segment where the Alphas sparred with each other; pain wasn’t the issue, but she was afraid of losing face. Moreover, a Taekwondo lesson between a CP involved frequent close physical contact, which made for great viewing.
Ming Ruixue quietly squeezed Si Xia’s finger. “Look, the others are already discussing how to steal the spotlight. Aren’t you worried?”
Her finger was squeezed only once. Before Si Xia could pull back, Ming Ruixue had already let go.
Si Xia wouldn’t give up the hype they had worked so hard for. If it was just a lesson, she could certainly do it.
Refusing to lose, Si Xia squeezed Ming Ruixue’s finger back. She did it stealthily in front of the camera—it looked like a secret touch, but it was actually a deliberate, calculated move.
Si Xia curved her eyes. “If Sister wants to learn, of course I’ll teach her well.”
In the eyes of the fans, a “secret” hand-squeeze between a CP was practically as good as a kiss. Just as sweet.
The Omega took the initiative to hold her hand; the soft, smooth sensation seeped into her palm. Squeezing her finger felt like squeezing her heart. Unlike Ming Ruixue’s “let’s discuss business” squeeze, Si Xia’s was a deliberate flirtation.
Ming Ruixue flinched slightly. “Thank you, Teacher Si Xia.”
The sixth floor consisted of a plaza bar and various shops. The Taekwondo hall was at the very end. When the six guests arrived, the instructor was already waiting inside.
“Guests, please select a suitable Taekwondo uniform. Gather in the main hall after changing.”
The dressing rooms were divided by Alpha and Omega.
When Ming Ruixue picked a uniform and entered the dressing room, the other two Alphas had already finished changing. For this part, the crew didn’t have the instructor teach them; instead, they let the guests figure out how to wear the uniforms themselves.
There is a bit of a trick to wearing a dobok. The belt is wider than a regular belt; even if you pull it tight, it remains loose and won’t stay put if the tying method is wrong.
Ming Ruixue tied it haphazardly around her waist.
Ban Yun offered kindly, “Do you want me to help you?”
“No thanks,” Ming Ruixue said with a smile. “I’ll go ask Teacher Si Xia to help me.”
Ban Yun froze. Why hadn’t she thought of asking Ning Yu for help?
Ming Ruixue stepped out of the dressing room, her hands resting on the belt, heels together, looking toward Si Xia in the distance.
Si Xia, who had just turned her gaze over, frowned slightly at Ming Ruixue’s attire.
The uniform hung loosely on Ming Ruixue. The half-tied belt slowly slid down her waist, landing silently on her instep. Her lustrous toes curled innocently. Ming Ruixue bent over to pick up the belt and tied it messily around her waist again.
Si Xia stood in the center of the hall watching her, her eyes narrowing slightly. After a moment, she called out, “Sister, come over here.”
Ming Ruixue’s eyes curved. “Okay~”
What a perfect picture of innocent, pure, and non-calculated behavior.
After the initial shock, Ban Yun also untied her own belt.
Lesson learned.
