The Cannon Fodder Female Supporting Character Alpha Decides to Go On Strike (GL) - Chapter 16
The night was deep, and moonlight flowed like water through the gap in the curtains, filling every empty space in the bedroom.
On the soft, plain large bed, Su Li opened her eyes.
She was mostly sober now. Although her head still throbbed faintly, it didn’t prevent her from thinking clearly. She recalled everything that happened before she passed out, and her hands involuntarily gripped the thin blanket covering her.
But the next moment, her peripheral vision caught sight of Shen Mo on the single armchair nearby.
Su Li was startled but quickly calmed down.
She quietly slipped out of bed and soundlessly walked over to Shen Mo.
Shen Mo was resting her head on one hand, her breathing even, and she was sound asleep with her eyes closed. The moonlight gently brushed her cheek, making the normally aloof goddess seem like a white jade sculpture that had descended to the human world, peaceful and approachable.
Su Li could guess that Shen Mo had carried her to the bedroom, but she couldn’t understand why Shen Mo would make herself sleep on this small single armchair.
Could it be that someone as noble as President Shen didn’t have another bedroom in her apartment?
Puzzled, she reached out and gently stroked Shen Mo’s nose bridge.
In the moonlight, Shen Mo’s eyelashes fluttered slightly, like a startled butterfly.
Su Li held her breath and quietly stood there for two minutes. Only after confirming that she hadn’t woken the other person did she let out a sigh of relief.
Shen Mo’s phone was placed nearby. Su Li lit up the screen and saw that it was already 3:32 AM.
Su Li prepared to leave. Although leaving without saying goodbye was rude, she really didn’t want to face a sober Shen Mo and fabricate clumsy excuses to explain all her unbelievable drunken behavior.
But before she could take a step, she remembered something, lowered her head, and looked at Shen Mo.
The next moment, she bent down, slipped her arms under Shen Mo’s neck and knees, and lifted her into a bridal carry.
At 3 AM, Shen Mo was sleeping soundly, showing no signs of waking up.
Su Li carried her steadily to the bed, placed her where she had just slept, and thoughtfully covered her with the thin blanket.
“What perfume are you wearing?” She rubbed her nose bridge, smiled to herself, and silently bid Shen Mo farewell in the darkness. “Alright, I’m leaving now.
“President Shen, good night and sweet dreams~”
After saying the words, Su Li didn’t move an inch for a long time.
She knelt by the bed, using the moonlight to greedily gaze at the sleeping Shen Mo. It was a face she was already familiar with, but in the night, it looked exceptionally captivating.
“You looked so beautiful in that wedding dress today,” Su Li continued her silent confession. “I didn’t dare stay, afraid that if I lingered any longer, I would forgive you for calculating me.
“Do you know, before meeting you, I never thought I would get married for commercial purposes.”
There was no response. Even the wind was stingy this night. She could only hear her own frantic heartbeat and Shen Mo’s shallow breaths.
“Is this the boldness of a major CEO?” Su Li unconsciously moved closer to Shen Mo. “You know your own charm too well. You’re flexible and adaptable, and you know how to use it—you’ve successfully reeled me in, but you still won’t stop.
“Will I be a fool counting the money for you even after you sell me?”
Thinking this, Su Li wrinkled her nose.
“President Shen, I’m not that easy to fool. I, I…”
She had just finished her tough talk, but now she couldn’t complete the sentence.
After battling with herself for over a minute, Su Li finally gritted her teeth and made a decision: “I’m going to demand a small compensation now. If you don’t agree, you can speak up and stop me!”
Shen Mo remained asleep.
Su Li smiled triumphantly, growing bolder. She braced her hands on the edge of the bed and quietly leaned close to Shen Mo’s lips.
The next moment, a soft touch came, and she lingered, rubbing against Shen Mo’s lips.
Su Li considered herself not overly lustful and knew that taking advantage of someone should only be a brief indulgence. Two seconds later, she drew back, only to unexpectedly meet a pair of eyes as bright as stars.
Her breath hitched.
Before Su Li’s frozen brain could recover, Shen Mo on the bed raised her arm, hooked it around Su Li’s neck, and pulled her close. Their separated lips met tightly again.
Su Li was too shocked to react. Shen Mo could only clumsily lick her lower lip, then restlessly tried to push her small tongue through the gap between her lips, only to be stopped by the smooth teeth.
Frustrated by her inability to go deeper, she gave a muffled “Hmph,” then cupped Su Li’s lips again and began to lick and nibble shallowly.
A faint scent of wine wafted, making Su Li doubt if she was truly awake.
This drunken dream was truly wonderful.
She swung her leg onto the bed, pulled Shen Mo completely into her embrace, and used one hand to pinch her chin, forcing her to open her lips.
The next moment, Su Li plunged in, shamelessly savoring the rich fragrance in her mouth.
Shen Mo was unexpectedly cooperative. Her hand stroked Su Li’s face, and in the most passionate moments, her tongue would actively explore Su Li’s mouth.
Su Li was still unsatisfied. Her fingers trailed downwards, landing on the slightly raised skin at the back of Shen Mo’s neck.
With a light press, Shen Mo’s body trembled as if zapped by electricity.
The Alpha’s possessiveness was ignited. Su Li released the pair of lips she had been ravaging and pecked along Shen Mo’s jawline, moving toward her scent gland.
The residual wine scent mixed with the faint, elegant fragrance of Shen Mo, nearly making Su Li lose her mind. She took what she wanted purely by instinct. The skin beneath her palm was as delicate as snow, and its slight movement caused Shen Mo to let out soft gasps, which stimulated her eardrums like a captivating piece of music.
“Mhm, Su Li…” Shen Mo buried both hands in Su Li’s hair, calling her name, unable to restrain her emotion.
This moment, Su Li’s last thread of sanity suddenly checked her.
She came to her senses, looked at the flushed Shen Mo beneath her, and could hardly believe what she had done.
“I’m, I’m sorry…” Su Li scrambled up quickly, clutching her chest as she retreated from the bed.
In the darkness, Shen Mo slightly raised her body to look at her, her expression and gaze hidden in the dark, impossible to discern.
After the passion subsided, all that remained for Su Li was deep regret—one second more, and she might have marked Shen Mo!
Shen Mo reached out to her: “Su Li…”
Su Li didn’t dare listen to what she wanted to say. She abruptly turned, opened the door, and ran out.
She found her jacket and phone in the living room outside and hastily hailed a taxi to leave Shen Mo’s apartment.
On her phone, Shen Mo had sent a single question mark.
【?】
Su Li stared at the screen, restless.
【Sorry, drunk mistake.】
She knew this was a flimsy excuse. After a thought, she added with a trembling hand: 【I am willing to take full responsibility and consequences.】
Shen Mo sat against the headboard in the quiet room, lowering her head without a word.
A moment later, she pulled up her open collar, pouted in annoyance, and murmured to herself, “Still no good…”
